DaisySlain was a metal band that emerged from Abilene, TX, but quickly developed a following state-wide, they originally started out as a Doom Metal band, but after they brought in new blood to the group they easily added melody, and yet kept the heaviness they were known for. They released "A Message to Breathe" on Ivester records in 2009, but the band unfortunately dissolved before the year was over. The group released the song "Coldkiller" on their myspace, and added the song was intended to be on the upcoming album, but internal fights, and musical differences led to a disbanding. They are still regarded as one of the best bands to emerge from the Abilene scene.
