Cop Shoot Cop was formed in 1987 in New York City and broke up 9 years later in 1996. They could be classified as a combination as industrial rock and post punk, bearing a few similarities to certain Killing Joke albums. Their lyrics were a dark and sometimes humorous satire of modern society.
