Chrome was a rock music group founded in San Francisco, California in 1976. Inspired by mid-70s punk rock and earlier experimental rockgroups, Chrome's music incorporated synthesizers and samples, and frequently emphasized themes of science fiction and paranoia. Thoughtheir mainstream success was limited, Chrome are now regarded as one of the earliest American industrial rock groups.
