The two men of the band, David and Seth, have been doing this for a while. Since their early teens, in fact. They hail from Morris, Minnesota, where the family business was farming. The two men of the band, David and Seth, have been doing this for a while. Since their early teens, in fact. They hail from Morris, Minnesota, where the family business was farming. David and Seth had bigger ambitions than their parents' pastures, however, and formed a punk rock/ska fusion band in the 1990's with some friends. After a while though, their friends found other interests and the "ska" part of the band was dropped. The brothers started playing purely punk music, but they could not find a steady bassist until they finally coaxed their sister, Lee Marie, into joining up. From then on, they were unstoppable. They eventually entered a large regional music contest that got a lot of attention and publicity, not expecting much but doing their absolute best, and they ended up winning first prize. With the money and studio time that came with that prize, they recorded their first independent EP, Places I Don't Want To Go, in 2004. They toured relentlessly in the region, and formed a loyal fan following. Then in 2006, they released another EP, entitled Songs Of Desperation. It was here that they really honed their sound into the addictively catchy punk rock that they are known for today. Tooth and Nail Records immediately took note of them, and with the band really enjoying the bands on that label, it was a perfect match. The band released their Tooth and Nail Debut on February 26th, 2008, and it was an instant hit, receiving many rave reviews. The band released the single You Know We're All So Fond Of Dying to radio at the beginning of the year, and created a video for the song All My Balloons, which was also released to radio soon after. The band has continued a heavy touring schedule, playing many summer festivals in 2008. Most notably, they performed at the Creation Festival in Pennsylvania, and then joined several other popular bands for the CreationFest Tour. They were also an opening bands for the Solid State Tour. « hide
