Chalres the Osprey is a 2-piece post hardcore, math-rock band hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Signed to Grand Rapids-based Friction Records, with other post-hardcore heavy weights like La Dispute and Victor! Fix the Sun, Charles the Osprey plays a similar brand of post-hardcore to other Michigan bands. However, their lack of vocals, pure emphasis on instrumentals, and slightly louder and more raucous style sets them apart from the others.
CO released 6-track EP titled "Belongings" in 2008. In 2010, Friction Records released their full-length titled "Consider", which expanded their already intricate sound with new, diverse influences.
