After Bruce Dickinson quit Iron Maiden after their ninth album Fear of the Dark, he went on to pursue a solo career in which he has, up to this
point, released six studio albums. His earlier efforts such as Tattooed Millionare and Balls to Picasso diverged from the sound he created
with Maiden, but on later ones, including Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding, he went back to his heavy metal roots. Even after
rejoining Iron Maiden in the 2000's, Dickinson's solo career continues. His most recent outing is 2005's Tyranny of Souls.
