Blodwen (meaning: /white flower/ in Welsh) is a gothic symphonic rock band from the East.
Blodwen combines symphonic rock, gothic atmosphere, melodic guitars and powerful versatil.

schoolers wanting to play music. They came from a small town, practiced in a small studio, but
dared to dream big. In 2004, the band played as a J-Rock cover band and gained modest
popularity among the communnity, but after being introduced to European metal in 2007, the
band was never the same. At that critical time, the band had to suffer hiatus due to the
frontwoman departure overseas for further studies. But distance didn't stop them from making music.
Bee kept writing songs and recording them, sending them through the net in an attempt of keeping
the band alive. The effort paid off, as in 2009 Blodwen was contracted by an underground metal
label based in Fukuoka, Japan - Red Rivet Records, by only posting one song for online streaming.
Spending 1.5 year re-recording and re-editing the songs, Blodwen's debut album "Black Symphony"
was finally released in 23 Sept 2010, coincidentally falling on B's 23rd birthday. With 12 songs
in English, Indonesian and Japanese; the album is aimed for an international audience.
Now Blodwen has set on a journey to remembrance - as long ago promised. Keeping the music
alive and spreading the word from a small town in the South East! « hide |
