Formed in San Diego, California, Benedictum is a five piece metal band. Lead by the pipes of frontwoman Veronica Freeman, they emphasize a classic metal sound driven by the Tony Iommi influenced guitar riffs of guitarist Pete Wells and the Ronnie James Dio influenced, yet distinct shouts of Veronica. Benedictum wears their influences on their sleeves and as a result share have much in common with the genre's most respected artists such as Black Sabbath, Dio, and Iron Maiden. Benedictum's debut album, Uncreation, was released in January of 2006.
