Bela Fleck and The Flecktones

Bela Fleck & the Flecktones are a jazzy bluegrass band. Sometimes the genre is even classified as "blu-bop." Bela Fleck combines elements of funk, country, bluegrass, and jazz into his music. The music is fun, upbeat, smooth and funky, you can't say that about most bluegrass bands. Victor Wooten's revolutionary bass playing stands out. He uses a techinique called double thumbing, a technique he's famous for.

Bela Fleck creates something that has never been done before. Bela Fleck has released 13 albums and although he doesn't appeal to a mainstream audience his unique and crafty instrumentals stand out not only for bluegrass fans, but for anyone who wants something unique and interesting.
