One of the biggest genre-hoppers in popular music today, Beck has become a mainstay of alternative music over
the last 10 years. Like Radiohead, his big break came thanks to one single from an otherwise relatively mediocre
album. The release of "Loser" from "Mellow Gold" immediately created a wave of public interest in a product of the
anti-folk movement. However his next major label release, "Odelay!" completely transformed public perception of

Change" saw a dramatic turnaround in Beck's musical style, with an album composed entirely of acoustic ballads.
