Asylum Street Spankers were a Austin, Texas group that played calypso-infused folk. Their music also is heavily influenced by 20th century
blues, jazz, and americana. They released most of their output on several labels (including Yellow Dog Records, Spanks-A-Lot Records, and Cold
Spring Records) before dissolving in 2011.
