Asking Alexandria is a five-piece metalcore-band from York, North Yorkshire, England. The band was founded in 2008 when Ben
Bruce (lead guitarist) contacted his old friends after moving back to England from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Asking Alexandria
is: Ben Bruce, Danny Worsnop (vocals and programming), Sam Bettley (bass), Cameron Liddell (guitar) and James Cassels
(drums).
In Dubai Asking Alexandria released their debut album, The Irony Of Your Perfection, but disbanded shortly after that. Bruce has

told that this Asking Alexandria only existed about a month before disbanding. When he moved back to England he still liked the
name of the band and the meanings of it so he decided to use the same name as in Dubai. Bruce has underlined that the band
who wrote the album The Irony of Your Perfection isn't the same as the one with records Stand Up and Scream and forthcoming
Reckless and Relentless. Despite the same name there isn't a link between those bands.
Asking Alexandria is currently writing material for a third album, which is scheduled to be released in 2013. Revolver Magazine
has included the album on their list of the Most Anticipated Albums of 2012. Commenting on the sound of the album, Worsnop
has said it is "a musical baby of Mötley Crüe and Slipknot." « hide |
