Founded in 2012, 'Aokigahara' is a progressive metal band from Las Vegas, USA. Combining a strong focus on moody atmosphere with heavy guitar tones, their sound is very similar to "thall" pioneers, 'Vildhjarta'. Labelled as "dark psychedelia", 'Aokigahara' place emphasis on immersion into obscure, calamitous environments. Their debut, self-titled EP, was released on the 21st of August, 2015.
