A 7-strong indie-pop group fond of including both unusual traditional instruments and found sounds in their songs, the Illinois-based Anathallo came to prominence with the release of Floating World, an album based on the Japanese concept of Ukiyo. This album brought them to a wider audience, and earned them considerable critical acclaim in indie circles.
