Amaseffer

Amaseffer is an Israeli (Tel Aviv) progressive metal band formed in 2004. Their first album "Slaves for Life", released in 2008, and their next two albums are a continuous story of the Pentateuch, beginning from Exodus and scheduled to finish at the end of Deuteronomy.

To supplement this tale of biblical proportions, many guest musicians were invited to play on Slaves for Life. Kobi Farhi from Orphaned Land is chief among them, speaking Hebrew passages throughout the album's storyline. Maya Avraham plays the character of Zipporah and Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy performs death growls on the track "Midian".

After Slaves for Life was released, an Israeli filmmaker gained them a deal as a movie soundtrack company, exposing them to a wider audience in their native country. « hide
