Altered Images are a Scottish new wave/post-punk band. Formed in 1979, the group had some minor success in the UK, with two of their albums going silver, and a few of their singles breaking the UK Singles top 10. Altered Images ultimately ended up disbanding by 1983, but reformed temporarily in 2012. In 2022, they released their first new LP in 38 years, Mascara Streakz.
