A City Safe From Sea

A City Safe From Sea is three dudes and a lady blaring noisily and haphazardly through erratic frantic yet pretty songs about their ghosts and ambulances and hospitals and girlfriends they haven't even had in like 10 years and all our dead friends, but its like a metaphor or something. A City Safe From Sea is three dudes and a lady blaring noisily and haphazardly through erratic frantic yet pretty songs about their ghosts and ambulances and hospitals and girlfriends they haven't even had in like 10 years and all our dead friends, but its like a metaphor or something. All of their songs are on the brink of collapsing into themselves with old amplifiers and only partially functioning effects pedals and a return to the big chorus hooks of days past with sad funeral horns and an unnecessary amount of pitchshifting and hi-hat beats meant for boogieing down. Sad songs to throw yourself into arms flailing. Formed in 2005, bunkered into the woods of Massachusetts for years, thier debut full length album ‘throw me through walls’ is out now on Magic Bullet Records / Tiny Media Empire on LP/CD/digital. Recorded at Qdivision in Boston MA with Rafi Sofer (mission of burma, james taylor, consonant), and at Dead Air with Will Killingsworth (orchid, ampere, bucketfull of teeth); mastered by Bob Weston (shellac) at Chicago Mastering, with artwork by Jay Ryan of The Bird Machine (punk planet, dianogah). We like pizza and effects pedals. We like you. « hide
