They never took off, however, as their songs were a bit less bleak and dark than the more popular post-grunge/grunge rock bands of the time. The Refreshments had one quasi-mainstream hit, "Banditos", in 1996. This came off their most popular album, "Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy". The band went on to release another album in 1997 entitled "The Bottle and Fresh Horses". After the release of this album, the band broke up. Roger Clyne and P.H. Naffah stayed together to form Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. Buddy Edwards became a writer, and Brian Blush is in a local Arizona band called Disasteroid. Blush also does acoustic shows and has a side project called Luck and Trouble. « hide
