Thought Industry are from Kalamazoo, MI. and were discovered by ex-Metallica bass player Jason Newsted during one of Thought Industry's live shows. Jason liked them so much that he called the owner of his old band's (Flotsam and Jetsam) former label, Metal Blade Records, and got them signed. From the beginning Thought Industry established itself as one of the most daring and unpredictable bands playing progressive metal.
