The band was born in September of 1974. The lineup included Aldo Bergamini, Massimo Di Lauro, Giampiero Marchiori (flute),Vittorio Pallavicini (keyboards and vocals), Dino Fiore and Paolo Ferrarotti. For over fifteen years, the group survived, evenwithout getting a contract with a record label, publishing a single in 1983.In the early nineties the first album was released. Il Castello di Atlante was noticed by Vinyl Magic, a label specializing inprogressive album which republished several of the Italian progressive bands of the seventies. Il Castello di Atlante was noticed by Vinyl Magic, a label specializing inprogressive album which republished several of the Italian progressive bands of the seventies. The first work of the band was,"Sono io il Signore delle Terre a Nord" (1992). The album, which combined elements neoprogressive atmospheres symphonictradition of Italian progressive seventies, was very well received by the critics of the industry and by fans of the genre. Afterthe debut album were published 6 albums and 2 live DVDs. In the last edition of the Baja Prog festival in Mexicali (Mexico) from2nd to 5th April 2014, Il Castello di Atlante published "CAPITOLO 8 LIVE - DE LUXE EDITION" the CD + DVD in concert with thebest songs in 40 years of prog music of the band.
The several international tours of the band (Japan, Indonesia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Lithuania, the Netherlands, France) areflanked by the appearances at the major prog festivals in the world (Baja Prog, Crescendo, Prog Sud, Terra Incognita, Poseidon,Prog Farm 2 Days Prog, Verona Prog Fest, Baltic Prog). « hide |
