Releasing their eighth studio album in June 2006, Widespread Panic shows no signs of slowing down. Hailing from Athens, Georiga, the southern-blues roots of Widespread Panic are still distinguishable after more than twenty years of innovation to their sound. John "JB" Bell, John "JoJo" Herman, Todd Nance, Domingo S. Ortiz, Dave Schools, and new guitarist George McConnel (taking the place of the late Michael Houser, who lost a fight with pancreatic cancer in 2002) are continuing to successfully captivate their audience both in the studio and on stage through innovative sounds and tremendous stage presence.
