The Durutti Column is basically a solo project for guitarist Vini Reilly. They have been going since theearly 70's and are stillreleasing theiruncompromising experimental music. Reilly's guitar playing isextremely underrated and the band havenever had commercial success apart fromReilly's high profilework with Morrissey on his debut 1988 solo album Viva Hate.Yet their work is timeless and a lot of itsounds years ahead of theircontemporaries.
