The Sugarcubes
Alt Rock

Maybe Iceland's The Sugarcubes will be most remembered for introducing the world to Björk, but they produced some noteworthy music of their own. With a quirky post-new-wave style, bizarre lyrics, and a unique approach to arrangments, they sound like no other band.

In their relatively short lifespan as a band (1986-92) they recorded three albums, with their two biggest US hits on their first, Life's Too Good. Many of their songs were recorded in both Icelandic and English versions, with the Icelandic ones appearing as bonus tracks or on compilations.
