Aqua is a Danish dance-pop group. First formed in 1989 as Joyspeed, the group later changed their name to Aqua, and went on to immediately
aftermassive success in Denmark, before later having global fame throughout 1997 and 1998 due to the remarkable success of their "Barbie Girl"
single.After having slowly decreasing sales for the next few years, Aqua ended up disbanding in 2001. In 2007, after six years apart, Aqua reunited,
andreleased their comeback single in 2009, "Back to the 80s". In 2011, they released "Megalomania", which was their first original release in over
adecade.
