Empyrium is a German symphonic folk metal band which was formed in 1994 by Markus Stock and Andres Bach. Together the two released two albums A Wintersunset and Song of Moors and Misty Fields. However after these two albums Andreas Bach left Empyrium and Thomas Helm took his place. Together Stock and Helm also released two albums, Where at Night the Wood Grouse Play and Weiland which are much more acoustic albums and feature no harsh vocals like those found on the first two albums.
