With his career now reaching its fifth decade, Stewart has garnered up numerous hits such as "Maggie May", "You Wear It Well" and "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?".
Stewart first came to prominence with rock groups The Jeff Beck Band and Faces, before embarking on a solo career in 1969, releasing "An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down". During his career, Stewart has shifted styles on various occasions, visiting the sounds of disco in the 70s and New Wave in the 80s.
In 1994, Stewart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In the first decade of the new century, Stewart has focused on singing 1930s and 1940s pop standards from the "Great American Songbook". « hide |
