Black Star are a hip-hop duo, consisting of Mos Def and Talib Kweli. Formed in 1998, the group are part of a larger collective named the Native Tongues Posse, which also features artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, the Jungle Brothers, Da Bush Babees and Common.
Their only album to date is their self titled debut. Critically successful and key in shaping part of the alternative hip-hop scene, both members have gone on to esteemed solo careers.
