The Texas quintet formed around led vocalist/guitarist Count Lyle. They quickly garnered attention with their first EP Boots of Hell which blended rockabilly, country, punk, and Tex-Mex into a unique sound that harkened to the relatively obscure genre of The Weird West, originally coined by a game company to market their pen & paper RPG, Deadlands.
