Gary Moore (b.4/4/52) is a talented Blues/Rock Guitarist from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Gary rose to fame notably from his solo career, but is also known for forming his first band Skid Row in 1970 and appearing in several line-ups for fellow Irish rockers and international superstars, Thin Lizzy, mainly appearing in their live shows. His first solo outing (1973's Grinding Stone) stalled and he returned to the Thin Lizzy fray, but then attempted another crack at a solo career in 1979, this time to immediate success, going on to release a number of rock records throughout the 1980's. His first solo outing (1973's Grinding Stone) stalled and he returned to the Thin Lizzy fray, but then attempted another crack at a solo career in 1979, this time to immediate success, going on to release a number of rock records throughout the 1980's. In 1990 he completely changed his direction and went back to playing straight Blues, releasing his critically-acclaimed blues album, 'Still Got The Blues' which spawned the classic songs 'Still Got The Blues' and 'Walking By Myself'. In recent years, Gary has balanced himself betwen playing the blues and rock music, to great effect for his powerful live shows.
