Samhain was a side project of frontman Glenn Danzig, formed after the demise of his previous band The Misfits. The project existed between 1983 and 1987. After the break-up, Glenn then formed his current project Danzig, which is actually a solo project.
Samhain reunited in 1999 to celebrate the release of the Box Set and went on one national tour with the band Danzig headlining. Though, sometime later, the band dissolved again and Glenn Danzig recently stated that Samhain will most likely never reform again.
