Canadian singer Joni Mitchell (born Joanna Anderson in 1943) is one of the most important songwriters of the 20th century. She began her career with her husband Chuck Mitchell as a family duo, but after divorce her popularity began to grow among other folk singers. Judy Collins, Mamas & The Papas covered her songs, but her solo LP was released in 1968. Released 4 albums on Reprise, she moved to ASYLUM where her work and image began to develope from folk goddess' love songs to intelectual level music, including variety of musical styles: blues, jazz, even electropop (in 80's).
