Hailing from the Florida music scene, Copeland crafts songs with meaningful lyrics from the heart and swaying melodies that can make anyone look at life in a whole new way. Many of Copeland's songs are not known to be heavy and fast, but more slower and melodic involving dreamy guitar lines and beatiful piano parts. But some of their songs still hold an edge to it with distortion guitar parts and dual vocal parts.

Then in the summer of 2002, Copeland got a big break from independent record label The Militia Group, who offered them a record contract to which they accepted immediately and focused on the band full time.
