John Mayer formed the John Mayer Trio in 2005, in a move to move his music in a new direction, and to pursue a more blues-influenced style. Their first CD, TRY! John Mayer Trio in Concert, was released on November 22, 2005.

Steve Jordon- Backing Vocals and Drums
Pino Palladino- Backing Vocals and Bass
