Formed by Jake Burns, Henry Cluney, Brian Falloon and Ali McMordie, they incorporated a raw and cutting edge form of punk. Their first album, Inflammable Material, was an instant punk classic, featuring some of the bands best material. Released on Rough Trade records, it was the first album from an indie label to enter the top 20. Brian Falloon soon left the band and was replaced by Jim Reilly, a talented drummer. Nobody's Hero followed next and is probably the bands best album. It also features some of their most well known songs. (The record was recorded after the band switched labels). Go for it was a new sound for the band were the punk sounds were suplemented with reggae and britpop. Now then... followed and was much more poppy. After that the band decided to call it quits. However they reformed in the late 1980's, with Jam bassist, Bruce Foxton. Since then the band have produced several albums and regulaly tour. They remain one of the greatest punk bands of all time. « hide
