Often described as the "Irish Clash", Stiff Little Fingers were Northern Irelands answer to the punk scene of the late 1970's. Formed by Jake Burns, Henry Cluney, Brian Falloon and Ali McMordie, they incorporated a raw and cutting edge form of punk. Their first album, Inflammable Material, was an instant punk classic, featuring some of the bands best material. Their first album, Inflammable Material, was an instant punk classic, featuring some of the bands best material. Nobody's Hero followed next and is probably the bands best album. It also features some of their most well known songs. (The record was recorded after the band switched labels). Go for it was a new sound for the band were the punk sounds were suplemented with reggae and britpop. Now then... followed and was much more poppy. After that the band decided to call it quits. However they reformed in the late 1980's, with Jam bassist, Bruce Foxton. Since then the band have produced several albums and regulaly tour.
