Cathedral was formed after Lee Dorian left Napalm Death, because he was sick of the Punk Scene and didn't like the Death Metal direction they were going in.
He formed it with Mark Griffiths, because of their love of Doom Metal bands such as Candlemass, Pentagram and of course, Black Sabbath.
