The arena rock group behind one of the fastest selling debut albums in history, Boston was one of those late 70's rock and roll bands to really capture the spirit of the times. With thier first album spawning many hits such as "More Than a Feeling", "Peace of Mind" and "Foreplay/Long Time". The second album, "Don't Look Back" released two years later was not a let down but not quite the achievement Tom Scholz (Guitars) was looking for. The band broke apart with Brad Delp (Vocals) and Tom Scholz being the only remaining members.
After an unusual long delay, due to a lawsuit with CBS, 'Third Stage" was released in '86, generally regarded as a solid follow-up to the 70's albums.
After a split between Brad and Tom, years passed until 94's "Walk On", the first album with new vocalist Fran Cosmo was released, and was the only Boston album of the '90's.
Boston resurfaced with Brad Delp onboard again in 2002, releasing their latest album "Corporate America".
Sadly on march 9th 2007 Brad Delp took his own life.
Tom Scholz continued on with new band mates Tommy De Carlo and Micheal Sweet. With a successful summer tour, Boston's future looks bright. Boston is supposed to release its newest album in early 2009. « hide |
