So-Cal metalcore group No Bragging Rights was formed in 1999 by vocalist Mike Perez at the tender age of 15. Between 2001 and2004, he and his groupstarted as a self-contained unit, putting out two demos and an EP on their own. The band rotated membersfor most of the 2000s, releasing the debutfull-length Because You Believe in Something Beyond Them, and then signing with PureNoise for The Consequences of Dreams. Following 2011’sIlluminator, the band’s fourth bassist amicably left the group.
