Steven Curtis Chapman is a Christian songwriter and musician. Since his first release 'First Hand', his songs have consistently charted on CCM radio stations and he was one of the biggest christian acts through the 90's and early 2000's. Several of his albums have reached Gold and Platinum status by the RIAA. He is also the most distinguished musician in history in terms of awards with over 5 grammys, 50 dove awards and seven "Artist of the Year" awards. Chapman also received worldwide condolences when his adopted daughter was tragically struck by a car and was killed. His album "Beauty Will Rise" was written with her in mind.
