Modern Life Is War (from Marshalltown, Iowa) were one of the most popular bands in today’s hardcore scene, formed in 2002. On the 19th February 2008, Modern Life Is War announced that they were splitting up. Their final tour occurred from March 29th to April 26th. Their last show ever was April 26th in Marshalltown, Iowa. The band released a statement which said: “There is no disaster or dramatic situation behind the break-up. All past and current members of the band are still good friends and there is no bad blood. We just feel like it’s the right time and would rather end things on our own terms than let our band become a ghost of what it was in the beginning or to be ripped apart by outside forces.” « hide
