Mya Harrison was born in 1979 and grew up in Washington D.C. During her earliest teenage years she has made several experiences as a professional singer and dancer. At the age of 15, she already jobbed as a dance teacher and showed her dancing skills on TV at the age of sweet sixteen.In 1997 she signed a record deal with aid from R&B boy group Dru Hill. They also worked with Mya on her self-titled debut album which entered the Top 30 of the US Billboard Charts in 1998. Her biggest internationally known hit to date features rapper Pras and came out at the same time.
