Kagrra is a visual rock band from Japan. Their concept is 'Neo Japanese', which means mixing the sound of traditional Japanese
music with rockmusic. The result is something extremely unique and beautiful. Their lyrics are in the style of Heian era (794 to
1185) poetry and their stagecostumes frequently incorporate traditional Japanese clothes. Traditional Japanese instruments
(especially the koto) and drum rhythms areused in some of their songs. The lead singer, Isshi, died in 2011, shortly after
Kagrra's breakup, due to unknown causes. He was 32 years old.
