The Finnish band Scythe of Orion, founded in 2006, is proud to present “X-lives” EP, the 2nd release produced by the band. The first, single “the Dawn of Scythe of Orion” was released in June 2007. The songs included in “X-lives” are composed between 1995-2008, so the music has existed long before the band has got its final composition in 2007.

The songs included in “X-lives” are composed between 1995-2008, so the music has existed long before the band has got its final composition in 2007.
The wide production of Scythe of Orion is composed by Petri Lamminsaari. "X-lives" represents a diverse collection of his music. The order of the songs in "X-lives" is the same in which they have been composed and the music varies from straight forward to more complex. Acoustic violin and piano solos tune the band's heavyness. Violin is not just a spice in the arrangements but has an important part in the music which in general is mentioned to be dramatic and full of suspense.
The forming of the band has made it possible to get this music out for everyone to hear by recording it and taking it into repertoire. That has been our mutual interest from the start.
Last February the Welsh promotion company TSM Promotions and Scythe of Orion have agreed on co-operation in order to promote the band and the "X-lives" EP in the UK. We really appreciate the effort that Two Side Moon Promotions and Nicky Baldrian make on behalf of the band
