Possessed

Possessed were one of the many bands to come out of the fertile Bay Area Metal scene in the early-80's. Possessed are considered by many to be the godfathers of the Death Metal genre, and their 1985 debut Seven Churches is arguably the first Death Metal album ever. They are one Metal's most legendary and influential bands, and made a remarkable impact in their short time together.
