Luminous Orange is a Japanese alternative rock band that has been active since its formation in 1992. The group's unique,
melancholic sound tends to take influence from ethereal shoegaze and indie pop, and is often compared to the likes of Sonic
Youth, My Bloody Valentine and Cranes. After going through several lineup changes, Luminous Orange became a solo project of
its frontwoman and main composer Rie Takeuchi in 2002.
