La Rossa was a progressive rock band from Touluse, France, whose line-up contained both French and German musicians. They were founded in
1980. The "German" part of the line-up (vocalist Benki and keyboard player Wolfgang Höller) came from the band Wish. Their eclectic music was
influenced by Van der Graaf Generator, Peter Hammill, Yes, Gentle Giant,ELP and Circus (Switzerland), as well as some classical composers, such
as Bela Bartok.
