Kings of the City were a British rock and hip hop band from London, England. The band consisted of rappers AliBla
Bla and Koken, lead singer and guitarist Danny Wilder, bassist Memari Man, guitarist Richie 2 Pun, drummerRoyal
and synthesiser player 8bit. The band was established by rapper Ali Bla Bla after meeting lead singer
DannyWilder at a Busta Rhymes concert at London's Wembley Arena. Ali turned to old school friends Richie 2
Pun,Memari Man and Koken as well as brother 8bit (who introduced drummer Royal to Ali) and formed the band.

Their debut single, "I Try", was released on 31 August 2010, gaining support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC
Radio1Xtra. They had gone onto achieve further cult success through singles "Listen To The Old Man" and
"Darkness"released on 11 March 2011, with remix's from Nutty P. The band went onto release their biggest
underground hitto date "Make Me Worse" on 13 July 2012 and went onto BBC Radio 1xtra to perform live on
Charlie Sloth's Fire InThe Booth. The majority of their popularity is due thanks to Monstercat Media artist Muzzy,
when he remixed"Make Me Worse" in 2012, reaching 1 Million views shortly after its release.
On October 3rd, 2013, lead vocalist and guitarist Danny Wilder died of lung cancer at the age of 27. "For the
firsttime in my life, I am lost for words. Our brother, friend, leader, singer, guitarist, front man and all around
boss,Danny Wilder, passed away yesterday morning. The world will never be the same again. Our respect and
deepestsorrows are with his family and loved ones." Was the group's official statement on Facebook followed up
with afull statement from band producer Ali Bla Bla.
The band had also stated that right before his death, they had completed recording their first full length
albumand are planning to release it sometime this year if possible. Then on June 28 of 2014 the band had
announced their full length album "No Snake" and is set to release later in the year « hide |
