Jim Steinman has both worked with and written lyrics for multiple musicians including Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, Air Supply, Pandora's Box, The Sisters of Mercy, Celine Dion and others. His most well known work involves working with Meat Loaf on the Bat Out of Hell albums and writing hit songs for Bonnie Tyler like Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero. He released one solo album, which was originally supposed to be a follow up to Bat Out of Hell with Meat Loaf, but when Meat Loaf temporarily lost his voice, Steinman released Bad for Good as a solo album and sang on it.
