Inspection 12 formed when the bandmembers were in jnuior high(1994) and were influenced by early southern Californian Punk suc has NOFX and Green Day along with the up and coming emo scene. They released a few EPS until their full length "Come, Hefe, Come!" was released followed by "Inspection 12" and "Step Into The Fire ". Fat Mike heard "Step Into The Fire", and they released and EP of outtakes and rerecorded songs on Mike's smaller label "Honest Don's Barely Legal Recordings". The band released their most well known album "Get Rad" (with a cover parodying the velvet underground all that shit), independently before getting distribution by Suburban Home records.
