Their debut album Ideas Above Our Station reached number 6 in the UK album chart, spawned several Top 40 singles and has since gone gold, selling over 118,000 copies by mid-2005. The band signed with V2 Records and 'Kill Your Own' arrived in 2006. Guitarist Paul Townsend departed the group, who released fourth album 'Quick The Word, Sharp The Action' in October 2007. Sadly V2 was purchased by Universal less than a month after this and the band found themselves without a label yet again.
In early 2009 the band announced their intention to re-release 'Quick The Word...' and to record a fifth studio album, accompanied by a UK tour.
