Ghetto Doggs is an underground hip hop group from the Philippines that first formed in 1995. Influenced by NYC-based hardcore
hip hop groups like Onyx and reportedly as a result from the constant massacre in the Philippines throughout the 70's, 80's and
90's, Ghetto Doggs's sound is notably one of the grittiest and hostile in Filipino hip hop history. After releasing only a few singles
and three full length albums, the group ended up disbanding in 2000. In 2004, however, Ghetto Doggs reunited, and the Ghetto
Doggs name remains active today as a solo project of lead emcee Pooch.
